Andrea Elson
Andrea Hope Elson is an American former actress. Elson began her career on TV as a child model and actress. Her best-known role is Alice Tyler, portrayed by Elson in CBS' science fiction series. Andrea was a contestant and landed the part as Lynn Tanner on the hit show ALF (1986). She continued to work throughout her career on successful TV shows and Movies of the Week before going into the entertainment field to focus on raising her children. Andrea Elson's role as Lynn Tanner, Willie and Kate Tanner's teenage daughter, was not easy for her. People wrote an article in where Elson outlined how hard it was for her to transition into an actress in her early years and to be in the sitcom. Born on the 6th of March 1969, in New York City, this green-eyed actress grew up traveling due to her father's work as an advertising executive. She had already lived in New York, Chicago San Diego, and Los Angeles before she turned ten. Andrea was able to find an agent located in San Diego and won her audition for her first part. Fusco explained that ALF was 285 years old and could be a drinker. In the years when ALF began to be increasingly popular, NBC said that Fusco could no longer have ALF drinking alcohol with the kids. This was a negative role of a model. Fusco was of the opinion that ALF was mature enough to not drink and drive was mistaken. In 1995, he was found to be suffering from lymphoma. The cancer was removed successfully, and he went on to be in recovery for the remainder of his existence. Then, in Englewood New York, at Lillian Booth Actors Home on the 26th June, in 2019, the actor aged 75 was diagnosed with cancer and passed away.
