Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson, an American singer-songwriter director and producer also writes. She is most famous for her role as Tara Maclay in the TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She has also produced the show, directed it and even starred in her own movies Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. She was also in the film Kiss the Bride. Benson was born on the 8th of January 1977 in Birmingham Alabama the daughter of Diane and Edward Benson a psychiatrist. Danielle Benson, her artistic younger sister. Her father, Benson's was Jewish while her mother was a Southern Baptist raised by Southern Baptist parents. Her family was raised going to a Reform community in Alabama. In the years since Buffy came to an end, Benson has appeared in movies like The Killing Jar and on shows like Morganville The Series. She also used her skills in writing for her own show, the Ghosts of Albion Series and directed Drones in 2010. Buffy states that, after taking the time to count and locate the Slayers, she discovered at least 1800 Slayers all over the world from which 500 belong to the Scooby Gang. The Slayers may be awakened when they reach suitable maturation for instance Slayer Soledad. Slayer Soledad was born on her 16th birthday.
